Author History and Inspirations
Hi! My name is Lacey Gordon. As an author, I go by Lacey Crazd Gordon since my nickname is Crazdwriter. I am a proud wife of my medically retired Navy Corpsman best friend and husband, Ryan Gordon. He is my rock, my biggest fan, and my push to keep writing on my off days. I am a happy mother of two beautiful and smart girls, Kierra and Cara. They also push me to keep writing and always brings a smile to my face.
Besides writing, I enjoy going hiking, exploring new places, traveling, reading, wood burning, jewelry making, playing and doing art projects with the girls, watching movies with the family or alone, coloring in adult coloring books, visiting family and friends, and taking care of our 3 cats, our many ducks, chickens, geese, and guinea fowl, our jumping spiders, and helping take care of Ryan's service dog, Hugo.
I am a multi-genre author. I write horror, paranormal, fantasy, mystery, cozy mystery, romance, young adult, and children's. I also have a Steampunk book started but have placed that on the back burner since I feel I need to research the genre more. I also love to mix genres like horror and paranormal or cozy mystery and paranormal.
I am also a blogger and the link to my bog is down below. I hope you will take the time to go and read my blogs. I write both fiction and nonfiction blogs, including reviews, fictional short stories, and interviews.
Where I get my inspiration for my books? My dreams and nightmares, other books, movies or TV shows, and ideas just popping into my head. I used to write down my dreams and nightmares but since having the girls, I have sadly stopped. I would remember more and more details of my dreams or nightmares with each time I wrote them down. I need to get back into it since I feel it's helpful for my writing.
I started writing in High School thanks to my favorite class, Writing Seminar, and my favorite teacher, Mr. McHeffey. I didn't get really into my writing until college as I studied to become a teacher. I wrote as I studied and taught Preschool for 11 years and have always wished to become a published author. Now, with Ryan's help, I am a published author and publish through our publishing company, Rocky Road Publishing LLC.
